Women in Seafood Australasia
Women in Seafood Australasia (WISA) is a not-for-profit organisation supporting women in the seafood industry across both Australia and New Zealand.
We believe that greater diversity benefits the entire industry by bringing a wide range of skills, experiences, and perspectives to the table to create a more collaborative, responsive, and innovative workforce.
To achieve this vision, WISA advocates for diversity and gender equity, while also delivering practical support to women in the industry. This includes:
- Sharing information and resources with members.
- Facilitating online and in-person networking to reduce isolation and foster stronger connections.
- Delivering professional development opportunities to build skills and confidence.
WISA works with government agencies, peak industry bodies, research providers, and community partners to strengthen collaboration and ensure the seafood industry is inclusive, resilient, and future-focused.
