What Do Rural Women Want To Know?
What Do Rural Women Want To Know?
by the National Rural Women's Coalition.
The National Rural Women’s Coalition ‘What Do Rural Regional and Remote Women want to Know?’ survey is a huge questionnaire reflects the experiences of rural, regional and remote women in all their diversity. The questionnaire has been used for several years providing the National Rural Women’s Coalition with unique insight in the changes impacting rural women, what is important to them and what changes they are calling for.
The National Rural Women’s Coalition is grateful to the hundreds of women who take the time to answer the survey. Results are shared with the Federal Government and are used to influence policy and the work of the National Rural Women’s Coalition.

2022-2023
In June 2023 the 2023 Survey was posted on all NRWC Social Media platforms. The survey results reflect a post COVID, Bushfire/Flood and Drought environment.
2018-2019
This Report was prepared as part of the National Rural Women’s Coalition work on the United Nations Commission on the Status Of Women, Zero Draft and subsequence attendance at CSW63 in New York, USA.
2014
In 2014 the What Do Rural Women Want To Know report was commissioned by the NRWC following the success of the A CUPPA WITH... series which was a free monthly webinar offered to rural women as an information and e-networking opportunity for rural, remote and regional women.
The Report found that rural women want to learn how to communicate more powerfully and purposefully in order to help them grow their rural communities. Using digital communication technologies, public speaking and having effective media skills was as important to rural women in 2014 as it is today.
