Sharing Stories of Sustainability
Rural women stories of growth, innovation and sustainability
A project of the 2016 e-Leaders Grow, Innovate and Sustain Program
In September 2016, 18 rural women leaders embarked on an exciting journey of growth and development. Selected by NRWC to be part of the e-Leaders Grow, Innovate and Sustain Program, the participants firstly completed eight content topics on sustainability management, to plan for their individual sustainability management projects. The program topics were presented using NRWC’s collaborative virtual classroom technology which has been used since 2011 to upskill over 220 women. Women from rural, regional and remote locations in Queensland, New South Wales, South Australia and Western Australia logged on each week to learn from industry’s leading presenters, and to learn from each other.
The next challenge for the e-Leaders is to work on planning and project development over the next 6 months. The Sharing Stories of Sustainability component of the program will soon be launched – showcasing the highlights of the participant projects and their learning experiences. Stay tuned todownload participants videos and podcasts.
